Appendicitis; Causes, symptoms and treatment.

Appendicitis mean the inflammation of the appendix which  is a small pouch attached to the beginning of the large intestine.

Appendicitis is one of the most common causes of emergency abdominal surgery. It usually occurs when the appendix becomes blocked by feces, a foreign object, or rarely, a tumor .This will lead to full mucus, increasing the pressure inside, which leads to clotting of blood in the excess, closed small vessels and cut off the blood supply to appendicitis to die this piece of meat .

·        Typically, the first symptom start with a  pain around the belly button. The pain may be vague at first, but becomes increasingly sharp and severe.
·        You may lose appetite and have nausea, vomiting, and a low-grade fever. Since the inflammation in the appendix increases, the pain tends to move into your right lower abdomen and focuses directly above the appendix at a place called Mc Burney's point.
·        Your abdominal pain may be worse when walking or coughing. And sudden movement causes pain.

Later symptoms include:
·         Chills.
·        Constipation.
·        Diarrhea.
·        Fever.
·        Loss of appetite.
·        Nausea.
·        Shaking.
·        Vomiting.

Exams and Tests
If you have appendicitis, your pain will increase  after the doctor gently pressing on the lower right belly area of yours. And If you have peritonitis, touching the belly area may cause a spasm of the muscles.

·        When having an uncomplicated case, the Doctor will remove your appendix soon after thinking you might have the condition .
·        If a CT scan shows that you have an abscess from a ruptured appendix, you may be treated for infection and have your appendix removed after the infection and inflammation have gone away.
